   stir-fry

   To drain most of water from ingredients, put them in a frying pan, and cook them over heat while stirring continuously.

   Korean definition: 물기를 거의 뺀 음식을 불 위에 놓고 이리저리 저으면서 익히다.

   • 콩을 볶을 때는 타지 않게 약한 불에서 볶는다.

     When roasting beans, roast them over low heat so they don't burn.

   • 어머니는 프라이팬에 기름을 두르고 쇠고기를 볶았다.

     Mother oiled the frying pan and stir-fried the beef.

   nag; pester

   To irritate another person by pressing him/her annoyingly.

   Korean definition: 사람을 귀찮을 정도로 재촉하며 괴롭히다.

   • 아이는 놀이공원에 가자고 어머니를 들들 볶았다.

     The child kept pestering his mother to go to the amusement park.

   • 형사는 똑같은 자백만을 강요하며 남자를 달달 볶았다.

     The detective kept grilling the man, pressing him for the same confession over and over.

   get a perm

   (slang) To get a perm to make hair curly.

   Korean definition: (속된 말로) 곱슬곱슬하게 파마하다.

   • 동생은 한 달에 한 번씩 머리를 볶았다 풀었다 한다.

     My younger sister perms her hair and then straightens it once a month.

   • 머리를 자주 볶아 댔더니 머릿결이 많이 상했다.

     I got perms so often that my hair got badly damaged.
