   • 우리 고향은 날씨가 항상 춥다. 그런데 이 지역은 일 년 내내 따뜻하다.

     The weather in my hometown is always cold. But this region is warm all year round.

   A word used to begin a conversation without a special meaning.

   Korean definition: 특별한 의미 없이 단지 대화를 시작할 때 쓰는 말.

   • 그런데 말이야, 여기 너무 춥지 않니?

     Well, isn't it too cold here?

   • 그런데 있지, 승규가 다음 달에 결혼한대.

     Well, you know what, I heard Seung-gyu is getting married next month.
