   Korean definition: 말하는 사람에게 가까운 곳을 가리키는 말.

   • 이곳이 바로 내가 태어나고 자란 고향이다.

     This is the very hometown where I was born and raised.

   • 우리가 이곳에 도착했을 때는 이미 해가 저문 뒤였다.

     By the time we arrived here, the sun had already set.

   Korean definition: 바로 앞에서 이야기한 곳을 가리키는 말.

   • 어머니는 먼지 쌓인 방을 깨끗이 청소하신 후 손님들을 이곳으로 모셨다.

     Mother cleaned the dusty room spotless and then showed the guests in here.

   • 우리는 산속에서 작은 오두막을 발견했고 이곳에서 쉬어 가기로 결정했다.

     We found a small hut in the mountains and decided to rest here.
