   A pronoun used to indicate somewhere that is close to the listener.

   Korean definition: 듣는 사람에게 가까운 곳을 가리키는 말.

   • 그곳은 위험하니 들어가지 마십시오.

     That place is dangerous, so please don't go in.

   • 제가 선생님께서 계신 그곳까지 가겠습니다.

     I'll come all the way to where you are, sir.

   A pronoun used to indicate the previously-mentioned place.

   Korean definition: 앞에서 이미 이야기한 곳을 가리키는 말.

   • 우리가 매일 만나는 그곳에서 내일 두 시에 만나자.

     Let's meet tomorrow at two at the place where we meet every day.

   • 내가 지난번에 말해 준 그곳에 가면 김 선생님을 뵐 수 있을 것이다.

     If you go to the place I told you about last time, you'll be able to see Mr. Kim.
