   An area raised slightly higher than the ground level, slanting like a small mountain.

   Korean definition: 낮은 산처럼 비스듬하게 경사져 있고, 보통 땅보다 약간 높이 솟아 있는 곳.

   • 언덕 끝에서 그녀의 모습이 갑자기 사라져 버렸다.

     Her figure suddenly vanished at the end of the hill.

   • 할아버지께서 수레를 끌며 언덕을 힘들게 넘고 계셨다.

     Grandfather was pulling a cart, struggling over the hill.

   (figurative) A person or thing that one can trust or rely on.

   Korean definition: (비유적으로) 기대거나 믿을 수 있는 대상.

   • 아이를 적게 갖거나 아이를 갖지 않는 것은 그만큼 노후에 기댈 언덕이 없어진다는 것을 의미한다.

     Having few or no children means that much less to lean on in old age.

   • 나는 비빌 언덕이 없어서 평생 이 모양 이 꼴로 살았지만, 내 자식에게만은 그렇게 살도록 할 수 없다.

     I had no one to lean on, so I've lived like this all my life, but I can't let my children live that way.
