     My husband was promoted to assistant manager just one year after joining the company.

   • 팀장은 김 대리에게 업무를 효율적으로 처리하는 노하우를 알려 주었다.

     The team leader shared with Assistant Manager Kim his know-how for handling work efficiently.

   Korean definition: 회사 등의 조직에서 다른 직위의 직무를 대신하는 직위. 또는 그 직위에 있는 사람.

   • 대학 교수인 어머니는 부총장을 거쳐 총장 대리로 임명되셨다.

     My mother, a university professor, served as vice president and was then appointed acting president.

   • 부사장의 갑작스러운 입원으로 김 부장이 부사장 대리를 맡게 되었다.

     Because the vice president was suddenly hospitalized, Department Head Kim took over as acting vice president.
