   A place next to or very close to someone or something.

   Korean definition: 어떤 대상의 바로 옆. 또는 아주 가까운 곳.

   • 밥그릇 곁에는 수저가 가지런히 놓여 있었다.

     A spoon and chopsticks were neatly placed beside the rice bowl.

   • 지수는 어려운 일이 있을 때마다 내 곁을 지켜 주었다.
