   Korean definition: 맑은 가을 하늘이나 깊은 바다, 싱싱한 풀의 빛깔과 같이 밝고 선명하다.

   • 푸른 잔디가 깔린 축구장에서 선수들이 축구를 하고 있었다.

     The players were playing soccer on a field covered with green grass.

   • 여름이 되자 산의 나무들은 울창하게 자라났고 잎들은 푸르렀다.

     When summer came, the trees on the mountain grew thick and their leaves were green.

   unripe

   Grains, fruits, etc., being in an unripe state.

   Korean definition: 곡식이나 열매 등이 아직 덜 익은 상태에 있다.

   • 배가 고팠던 나는 보리밭에서 익지도 않은 푸른 보리를 뜯어 먹었다.

     Being hungry, I plucked and ate unripe green barley in the barley field.

   • 푸르렀던 벼들이 누렇게 익은 것을 보니 수확을 할 때가 된 모양이었다.

     Seeing that the once-green rice had ripened yellow, it seemed to be harvest time.

   A power being strong.

   Korean definition: 세력이 당당하다.

   • 안동 김 씨의 푸른 세도 아래 왕족에 대한 감시는 어느 때보다 심했다.

   • 권력가들이 뒤를 봐 주어서인지 그들의 기세는 푸르렀다.

     Perhaps because powerful people were backing them, their spirit was strong.

   young; fresh

   (figurative) Being full of youth and livelihood.

   Korean definition: (비유적으로) 젊음과 생기가 가득하다.

   • 나는 푸른 청춘을 지나 이제는 중년에 이르렀다.

     I have passed my green youth and have now reached middle age.

   • 내 아들도 올해로 스무 살이네.

     My son also turns twenty this year.

     스무 살이면 한창 푸를 나이지.

     Twenty is the prime of youth.
