   Namdaemun Gate

   One of the four gates in the castle walls that used to encircle the capital city of the Joseon Dynasty, located in the south, officially named "Sungnyemun," designated as No. 1 National Treasure of South Korea.

   Korean definition: 서울시에 위치한 조선 시대 도성의 남쪽 정문. 사대문의 하나로 '숭례문'이 정식 이름이다. 국보 제1호이다.
