   To get off from a vehicle and get on another.

   Korean definition: 타고 가던 것에서 내려 다른 것으로 바꾸어 타다.

   • 목적지까지 한 번에 가는 버스가 없어서 나는 중간에 버스를 갈아타야 했다.

     There was no bus that went directly to my destination, so I had to transfer buses on the way.

   • 지수는 경유지에서 다른 비행기로 갈아탔다.

     Jisu transferred to another plane at the stopover.
