   A group of things that are categorized according to their nature, characteristics, shapes, etc., or something that belongs to that group.

   Korean definition: 성질이나 특징, 모양 등이 비슷한 것끼리 묶은 하나의 무리. 또는 그 무리에 속하는 것.

   • 소설은 길이에 따라서 단편, 중편, 장편의 세 가지 유형으로 나눌 수 있다.

     Novels can be divided into three types by length: short, medium and long.

   • 시험에서 새로운 유형의 문제가 출제되어 학생들이 많이 어려워했다.

     A new type of question appeared on the exam, and the students found it very difficult.
