   Korean definition: 발가락의 끝을 덮어 보호하고 있는 단단한 부분.

   • 고양이가 발톱으로 할퀴는 바람에 손등에 상처가 났다.

     The cat scratched me with its claws and left a wound on the back of my hand.

   • 발톱을 너무 짧게 깎으면 자라면서 살을 파고들 수 있으니 적당한 길이로 다듬어야 한다.

     If you cut your toenails too short, they can grow into the flesh, so trim them to a moderate length.
