   Korean definition: 아무 것도 하지 않고 있는 그대로.

   • 나는 돈이 모자라서 신발을 사지 못하고 그냥 가게를 나왔다.

     I didn't have enough money, so I couldn't buy the shoes and just left the store.

   • 선생님은 버릇없이 굴던 그를 혼내지 않고 그냥 내버려 두셨다.

     The teacher didn't scold him for being rude, but just left him as he was.

   all the time

   Continuously in such a state.

   Korean definition: 그런 모양으로 그대로 계속하여.

   • 나는 그의 집 앞에서 그가 나올 때까지 그냥 서 있을 생각이었다.

     I intended to keep standing in front of his house until he came out.

   • 시험을 못 본 그녀는 교실에 앉아 한 시간 내내 그냥 울고만 있었다.

     Having done badly on the exam, she sat in the classroom and just kept crying for a whole hour.

   With no strings attached.

   Korean definition: 아무런 대가나 조건 없이.

   • 그는 내 부탁을 그냥 들어줄 만큼 착하고 인정 있는 사람이 아니었다.

     He was not kind and warm-hearted enough to grant my request without any conditions.

   • 나는 자전거를 그에게 그냥 줄 수는 없어서 돈을 조금 받고 그에게 팔았다.

     I couldn't just give him the bicycle for free, so I sold it to him for a little money.

   Without any intention or special meaning.

   Korean definition: 아무런 생각이나 별다른 의미 없이.

   • 그녀는 그냥 한번 나가 본 미술 대회에서 상을 받을 줄은 꿈에도 생각 못했다.

     She never dreamed she'd win a prize at the art contest she had just entered on a whim.

   • 그는 일찍 집에 들어오라는 말을 그냥 흘리고는 밤늦게까지 집에 가지 않았다.

     He just ignored being told to come home early and didn't go home until late at night.
